Sam&Alice's Photos
from Their RV Travels

Updated on September 11, 1999

Sony Mavica FD-7Carrying a box full of photos and albums presents real storage problems in an RV -- space is at a premium. So we decided to go to electronic images. Our daughter scanned some of our past photos and these are now stored onto 100Mbyte removable disks for an IOMEGA Zip drive. It is up to us to scan the rest. It is a little disconcerting, but we intend to trash most of the old photo hardcopy now that we have gone full time.

For photography I use a Sony Mavica FD-7 digital camera. It creates 640 by 480 pixel JPEG files on floppy discs that I can work over with a variety of image programs to create the effects I want. This allows me to keep a lot more pictures with no additional weight.

These pages show some of our pictures from our travels. The presentation may not be great, but hopefully you will like the pics. If you click on the pictures, you can get a 640 by 480 pixel version.

I have divided them into groups, so you don't have to wait so long for the entire lot to download all at once. Take your pick of what to look at:
