Here are some pictures from Flaming Gorge in 1999.
We headed
into Wyoming.
We drove around
Flaming Gorge, 190 miles.
And
saw a pronghorn antelope family.
We
drove up Sheep Creek Canyon after a pit stop
Wolf
decided he wanted my chair.
This is
the heart of the overthrust that had created the Uintas Mountains to the
south.
Here
you see some of the red formations that gave Flaming Gorge its name.
From above
you can see our road.
And
the clouds in the distance looked rather ominous.
Springs
flowed out of the rocks above the road.
The Tower Rock
was a major attraction along the way.
Another view
from Red Canyon Overlook,
They warned
about traipsing around the cracks.
Where the sun
shines, the colors are intense.
